• 6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
• 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• 3 large eggs
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for cooking)
• Optional toppings: diced pickles, sliced cherry tomatoes, lettuce, or more cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
• Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
2. Cook the Ground Beef:
• Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
• Add the ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain any excess grease.
• Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce (if using). Stir in the crumbled bacon.
3. Prepare the Egg Mixture:
• In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, cream cheese, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
4. Assemble the Casserole:
• Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
• Sprinkle half the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
• Pour the egg mixture over the beef and cheese.
• Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
5. Bake:
• Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
6. Serve:
• Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with optional toppings like diced pickles, lettuce, or tomatoes for a classic cheeseburger vibe.
